But beware, it can become addictive. You start a level with a group of six colorful fishes (and sea mammals). Pick on up, and fling it as far as possible with an easy swipe. The farther it goes, and the more times it skips, the better. A panel of Crab judges will evaluate your tosses with a numerical grade.

Each fish has it’s own style with different launching and skipping capabilities. The blue whale, Micro, will fly high and give you more distance than skips. While the blowfish, Errol, will be more inclined to bounce on the sea surface but not that far.

Like the fish, each crab judge has it’s own personality. “Distance Dorothy” loves long distance throws, while “Hard to please Harwood” is critical of absolutely everything. Thankfully, “Nice Natalie” is always positive and happy to give out high scores.

To do so, you are tasked with guiding him to a specific object, picking up diamonds along the way.
You don’t control Mittens directly, but rather interact with various objects in his environment. Cutting ropes, slicing boards, or using antennas as slingshots will have him bounce, slide on the many elements found in each level. But beware, the levels are filled with traps, and dangerous characters that will stop you on your tracks.

For some mysterious reason, Disney chose to disable the zoom and scroll functions, which could have been useful on larger levels.

The game includes three episodes (Milktown, Balloonland, and Mouse Cave) with more coming soon. There is an extra episode, Fishing Harbor, available as an in-app-purchase.

Disney did a fantastic job with this new title. The gameplay is fun, challenging and suitable for people of all ages.
